About 1PACK 1PACK is the NIL agency that serves student‑athletes at North Carolina State University. It connects fans, alumni, businesses, and charities with student‑athletes and helps them build brands, earn compensation, and develop professionally without compromising their education.
Position Highlights The Executive Director is responsible for generating revenue on behalf of 1PACK. Working onsite with Blueprint Sports and Wolfpack Athletics staff, the incumbent will pitch and close commercial NIL partnership agreements, lead specialty revenue concepts and events, and develop comprehensive revenue strategies to support the Wolfpack’s NIL initiatives.
Responsibilities
Identify potential sponsors through networking with university stakeholders, business partners, and research local, regional and national companies.
Partner with the athletics department to develop and execute a revenue plan that meets or exceeds Blueprint Sports, 1PACK, and NC State NIL goals, including events, membership, sweepstakes, and merchandise.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the college events landscape and trends in the Raleigh, NC community and broader sports industry to enhance event concepts and experiences.
Manage profit and loss and budget reports to sustain and exceed EBITDA targets.
Build and lead a growing NIL team.
Evaluate organization performance against revenue and partnership goals.
Prospect, meet, and close new and renewal high‑level NIL partnership deals.
Collaborate with Blueprint Sports leadership and NC State Athletics to create sales inventory, revenue projections and overall strategy.
Develop sales presentations for new NIL marketing partners based on research, category dynamics, and partner marketing goals.
Create sales proposals and negotiate contracts with NIL sponsors.
Develop key marketing objectives with clients through needs assessment and a collaborative sales process.
Create NIL special event programming dedicated to driving revenue and NIL engagement.
Entertain and cultivate sponsors in non‑game settings.
Prepare end‑of‑year recaps for partners.
Represent our partner’s NIL, Athletics, and Blueprint Sports in a professional manner.
Research sports sponsorship and the NIL industry to stay current with market trends and conditions.
Build a strong understanding of all Blueprint Sports business units and offerings to leverage new business opportunities.
Other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year accredited college or university; NC State alumni or former student‑athlete preferred but not required.
At least five (5) years of experience in corporate sponsorship sales, sports marketing, marketing/advertising/influencer strategy, media/agency/radio/TV sales, talent representation or B2B sales.
Demonstrated understanding of NIL and its relevance to collegiate athletics preferred but not required.
Proven track record of quickly developing and maintaining strong, lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong sales and presentation skills with the ability to follow up, negotiate, influence and close deals quickly.
Conscientious attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity and honesty.
Proactive, self‑motivated drive to achieve results and win.
Entrepreneurial mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and deliver high‑level results.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, sporting events and travel ( Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
