Network Architect – Hybrid Cloud (AWS)
Location: Austin, TX – Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures supporting cloud transformation initiatives for the TEDS project. This role focuses on enabling hybrid connectivity between on‑premises data centers and AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance for enterprise workloads.
The Network Architect will collaborate closely with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to support migrations, optimize network operations, and establish enterprise networking standards.
Responsibilities
Design and implement hybrid and multi‑cloud network architectures integrating on‑premises environments with AWS
Architect and manage secure connectivity using VPN, AWS Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway
Define and enforce routing, segmentation, firewall, and security policies aligned with enterprise architecture standards
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and failover for mission‑critical systems
Support cloud migrations and modernization initiatives in collaboration with cross‑functional teams
Establish network governance, standards, and best practices for long‑term scalability
Leverage automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Requirements
8+ years of experience in network architecture across AWS and on‑premises environments
Strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, routing, segmentation, and firewall technologies
Hands‑on experience with hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway)
Solid understanding of network security, encryption, identity, and compliance frameworks
Experience designing high availability, load balancing, and failover strategies
Familiarity with network automation and CI/CD integration
Preferred
Experience with multi‑cloud networking (Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, SD‑WAN, and network observability tools
Cloud networking cost optimization experience
Relevant certifications (AWS Advanced Networking, CCNP/CCIE, Azure Network Engineer)
