Position Overview A respected St. Louis litigation firm is seeking a

Commercial Litigation Associate

with 3-6 years of relevant experience to join its business litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who brings strong analytical skills, well-developed writing abilities, and practical litigation experience.

The role focuses heavily on hands‑on litigation work, including motion practice, written discovery, research, and case strategy. Deposition experience is a plus but not required. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, exercises sound judgment, and can work both independently and collaboratively. Candidates should also have the desire to take on increasing responsibilities, including trial work and appeals.

Key Responsibilities

Handle commercial/business litigation matters in state and/or federal courts

Draft and respond to motions, briefs, and written discovery

Conduct legal research and develop case strategy

Collaborate with partners and team members on case progression

Take on expanded responsibilities over time, including trial and appellate work

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school

Must be licensed to practice in Missouri (additional jurisdictions a plus)

3-6 years of experience in business or commercial litigation

Strong writing, analytical, and research skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

Desire for long‑term growth within the firm
