Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Position Summary The Automation Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining scalable test automation solutions. Primary responsibilities include focusing on executing automated test suite, creating/reviewing regression test cases, developing and maintaining automated tests while working in an agile environment.
Essential Functions
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for WinForms-based claims modules (claim intake, adjudication, eligibility, accumulators, and related workflows)
Execute functional, regression, and UI automation suites; analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, and differentiate between script, data, and application defects
Provide clear reporting on automation coverage, stability, and defect trends to support quality metrics and release go/no-go decisions
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to understand requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and ensure testability.
Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint, planning and daily standups
Document test results, track defects, and support root-cause analysis
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance automation, and streamline processes
Ensure all automated tests are integrated into CI/CD workflows and support continuous testing practices
Work closely with Dev to build out automation tests
Adhere to, and apply all applicable privacy and security laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH and any regulations promulgated thereto.
Maintain clear, organized test documentation and adhere to QA standards and best practices
Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Experience And Skills
2 to 4 years’ experience in test automation, QA engineering, or software test engineering
Extensive experience writing automation tests using the following:
Selenium WebDriver
Postman
GIT or Jenkins
Testing experience in WinForms based applications
SQL and scripting
Hands‑on experience building and executing functional, regression, and UI automation for complex business applications
Practical experience with test data management and validation for automated testing
Basic scripting or programming skills (PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, or Python)
Understanding of SOLID and OOP
Understanding of SDLC lifecycle
Thorough understanding of CI/CD
Excellent ability to debug and troubleshoot all areas of the technology stack
Experience with healthcare claims operations, benefit processing logic, or TPA environments preferred
Prior involvement in legacy‑to‑modern platform conversions or modernization testing
Understanding of Azure DevOps (ADO) for test case management and defect tracking
Experience in WinAppDriver or similar UI automation tools and frameworks
Understanding of .NET applications and related testing
EDUCATION B.S., equivalent degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience required.
