Salary: $148,000 - $180,000 (dependent on experience)
Level: Senior
Position located in Seattle; responsibilities include federal, ports, healthcare, education, and infrastructure projects.
Position Requirements Technical
Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer License is required
Minimum 10 years of experience in Ports, Federal, Healthcare, Education
Demonstrated experience leading electrical design projects
Strong experience in performing QAQC on multidisciplinary projects and mentoring emerging professionals
Prepared fee proposals and qualification packages for project pursuits
Project management skills: work breakdown structure, budget tracking, project schedule, client interface, and building long‑lasting relationships based on trust
Experience using NEC, AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
Experience with different delivery methods: design‑build, GCCM, and design‑bid‑build
Experience with a variety of project types, including electrical equipment replacement, renovation – MEPT design, new construction – MEPT design, underground electrical infrastructure, emergency power system design (generator, UPS, inverter), electrification
Non‑Technical
Experience mentoring emerging professionals and guiding them through technical challenges
Demonstrated ability to improve processes, elevate team performance, and implement sustainable, high‑impact solutions
Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback to foster continuous learning and collaboration

Duties Pre‑Design Engineering
Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports
Prepare electrical schematic designs
Design Engineering
Design power single line and riser diagrams
Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM
Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure
Design for electrical equipment replacement projects (substation, switchboard, transformer, panelboard)
Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards
Have a working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Washington Codes, and Energy Standards to design electrical systems
Perform QAQC for electrical design
Coordinate among different disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, architectural) and work in close contact with the entire design team
Project Management
Lead projects with a service‑first mindset, ensuring client expectations are met through clear communication and technically sound, high‑quality deliverables
Oversee MEP design for medium to large sized projects while fostering collaboration and empowering emerging professionals
Mentor junior design engineers by sharing knowledge, encouraging innovation, and reinforcing a culture of continuous learning
Support the preparation of proposals for medium to large sized projects, promoting teamwork and business development
Mentor junior project managers by reviewing proposals and providing constructive feedback and suggestions
Uphold P2S standards for documentation and quality, reinforcing accountability and trust throughout the project lifecycle
Construction Administration
Provide timely, thoughtful responses to RFIs, maintaining a high level of service and client satisfaction throughout construction
Review submittals with a detail‑oriented and quality‑driven mindset to ensure engineering intent and code compliance
Foster collaboration and trust with contractors and field teams by being accessible, clear, and solution‑oriented during construction phases
Participate in punch walks and prepare punch list reports with a focus on delivering excellence and functional completeness
Uphold accountability and integrity by ensuring that final systems reflect design intent and contribute to long‑term client success
Serve as a technical advocate for the client during construction, proactively addressing challenges to maintain design vision and project momentum
