Job Description The Performance Solutions Engineer is a versatile role where you will lead and own thermal and operational performance modeling and analysis for the Gas Power’s global installed base (aftermarket services) GT/ST/CC fleet. You will support managing its life‑cycle performance, architecting performance risk and guarantees, and conducting energy transition studies while working closely with Application Engineering and Commercial teams. Your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to thermodynamic modeling, configuring and delivering online thermal performance monitoring and diagnostics solutions to Gas Power and GEV Digital customers, and actively using fleet data, tools, and methods to drive engineering and business decisions.
Essential Responsibilities
Drive performance evaluations for Global Gas plants which includes Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Combined Cycle with a system‑level thinking.
Identify and support engineering solutions to meet strategic needs related to gas turbine, steam turbine and combined cycle performance improvement in decarbonization technologies.
Work closely with performance testing, application engineering, design & systems engineering, product management and project engineering to formulate a strategic action plan to retain guaranteed performance and/or minimize performance risk.
Use Gas Turbine and plant modeling and simulation software to configure thermal models for the GEV suite of thermal performance monitoring systems.
Configure and deliver performance monitoring solutions with respect to guaranteed values in accordance with industry codes and standards.
Leverage fleet data to lead root‑cause analyses and diagnostic efforts for effective and accurate customer issue resolution.
Coordinate with customers, Product Line, Sales and Engineering to ensure solutions are compatible with needs, design standards and quoting limits.
Support quality and champion LEAN/continuous improvements initiatives and design practices involving thermal performance and risk mitigation.
Proactively participate in new initiatives, including developing and protecting GEV Intellectual Property to enable impactful energy transition.
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Aeronautical Engineering.
0‑2 years of experience in thermodynamic performance modeling and/or mechanical expertise.
Desired Characteristics
Aptitude or experience that demonstrates technical knowledge of Gas Turbine, Combined Cycle and Steam Turbine thermodynamics.
Excellent attention to detail, strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Consistent design creativity and problem‑solving capabilities.
Strong focus on safety, quality, execution and process rigor.
Ability to shift priorities rapidly based on business needs.
Open‑minded, self‑motivated, and empowered to challenge thinking.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The Company may offer a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
