Building/Structural Project Engineer (Must have P.E./Educational Building exp.)
The role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and experience in educational facilities. You will design, analyze, and manage structural projects across various sectors with a collaborative, innovative culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design and analysis of new buildings, renovations, and additions (steel, concrete, masonry, wood)
Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, calculations, and review & seal drawings as the licensed engineer of record
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Conduct site visits, verify design intent, and resolve field issues
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations
Mentor junior engineers and drafters, providing technical support and value‑engineering recommendations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
5‑8 years of relevant experience in structural design and project coordination
Proficiency with design software (Revit, ETABS, RISA, SAP2000, AutoCAD)
Solid knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS standards
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Experience with K‑12 or higher‑education facility projects highly desirable
