We are seeking skilled and experienced Safety Professionals to oversee safety practices and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations at our client’s job sites and workplaces. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety, preventing accidents, and minimizing risks.
Position Summary
The Site Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining safety programs and procedures at the job site. This includes conducting safety audits, training employees, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement site-specific safety policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure safe working conditions. Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to educate and engage employees on best practices and safety protocols. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine causes, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and employer safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to develop site-specific safety plans and risk assessments. Maintain safety records and prepare reports on safety-related issues and improvements. Serve as a point of contact for safety issues and act as a liaison between field employees, management, and regulatory agencies. Implement emergency response plans and ensure that all staff are trained and prepared for potential emergencies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site safety or a similar role. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and other safety standards. Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA 30/OSHA 500) are highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to train and influence others. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions
Primarily site-based, requiring field inspections, site audits, and hands‑on interactions with employees. Physical ability to walk, climb, and lift as required by the site environment. Regular travel between job sites may be required. What We Offer
