Position Summary The General Manager leads and manages daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. Responsibilities include mentoring the team, setting performance objectives, and upholding company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Full oversight of revenue activities—tailgates and event rentals—including goal setting, forecasting, sales strategy development, and execution.

Active participation in revenue generation via outbound/inbound sales, in-person meetings, and community development initiatives.

Grow and manage relationships with university partners across multiple departments.

Implement guest communication plans for tailgate and event rental clients.

Build a team culture focused on poise, accountability, attention to hospitality.

Maintain financial records, key performance metrics, and provide actionable insights.

Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable for all properties/operations.

Own pricing and discounts under VP approval.

Supervise and develop team members, providing consistent feedback tied to performance metrics.

Assist with recruiting and corporate training.

Support company-wide initiatives, promoting adoption of processes and policies.

Operations

Strategic planning and trend forecasting.

Budget oversight for labor, game‑day expenses, and office expenditures.

Ensure compliance with company initiatives and continuous improvement.

Improve systems: quality control, inventory, maintenance, process management.

Manage event layout, design, and vendor relationships (rental, food & beverage).

Asset and facility management: warehouse, office, maintenance, fleet, inventory, repair schedules.

Public relations and community representation with customers, university administration, and athletic departments.

Maintain partner relationships and attend community functions with executive management.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a similar major, or equivalent experience; active progress towards a degree is preferred.

Knowledge of sports event excitement is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

5+ years of supervisory experience, with demonstrated coaching ability.
