PopCap is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Game Product Manager to join our team.

As a Senior Lead Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and driving the Acquisition, Engagement, and Monetization strategies for Plants vs Zombies 3. You must be passionate about representing the voice and needs of our players and business.

This role will focus on the New Player Funnel and Live Service Operations, with opportunities to flex into other areas of Game Product Management as the project necessitates. You will report to the head Product Manager on the team.

Product Management is a collaborative, cross‑functional discipline. Product Managers are expected to work closely with other PMs, Analysts, Developers, Marketing, and other stakeholders.

This is a role that drives decisions using data. Performance metrics, research, and analysis are all tools you have experience using to inform growth efforts.

Responsibilities

Manage and conduct operations impacting the live service player journey from the install funnel through to regular daily engagement

Conduct and communicate in-depth analysis of live player behavioral trends using data insights and strong business acumen to impact top line KPIs

Track performance on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis

Communicate KPIs to internal and external stakeholders and adjust designs/plans accordingly

Work closely with the game team and various stakeholders to gather requirements and help define the live service roadmap

Influence partners to rally behind your ideas and effect change among various teammates and collaborators

Define requirements for Data Analytics, A/B testing, push notifications, and other partner tools

Hold an informed, expert perspective on established models for monetizing games

Monitor competitive trends and best practices, third parties tools/partnerships, and internal business intelligence with the goal of identifying opportunities to fold into PopCap’s operations

Leverage first‑ and third‑party tools to define, track, and serve a variety of player segments

Learn, have fun and build games that millions of people love to play

Requirements

Strong analytical skills and experience with data‑driven product design and decision making

Success building web or mobile consumer‑facing products in the past

Experience with every phase and/or deep experience with the live service phase of the game development cycle

Experience with multivariate testing in web or mobile products

Experience defining specs or PRDs with clear business requirements, user flows, and wireframes

Strong in Excel, able to create models and simulations of in‑game economies

Experience balancing virtual economies, with an strong understanding of how economy design impacts the user experience

Strong communication and writing skills

Experience communicating both creative and technical feedback to diverse groups

Passion for creating great freemium games, with the ability to identify flaws in design, art, and “feel”

Self‑motivated team player that brings excitement and enthusiasm to work each day

Carry a growth mindset that is open to feedback and outside‑the‑box thinking

Loves games and has experience with PopCap titles (Plants vs Zombies, Bejeweled, etc.)

Qualifications

BS/BA degree, ideally in a quantitative discipline; MS/MBA preferred

8+ years of experience in product management in live service games, scaled consumer‑facing digital products, and/or a systems design background

Compensation And Benefits The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$130,800 - $183,000 CAD

California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$160,600 - $249,300 USD

Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) *$149,200 - $205,500 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full‑time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top‑up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full‑time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
