Physician Assistant – SICU (Westchester Medical Center)
Join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and provide critical care to trauma and surgical patients. This strictly inpatient, nonoperative role partners with physicians and PAs to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Responsibility
Perform medical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment plans, follow‑up and consultations for diverse surgical critical‑care patients.
Respond to and manage direct patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Gain competency in procedures including central line placement/removal, chest tube insertion/removal, and arterial line placement.
Qualifications
Board certified PA or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; valid New York license.
Minimum 2 years of critical‑care experience preferred; new graduates considered.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Board certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS.
Compensation & Benefits $120,000.00–$150,000.00 per year. Comprehensive benefits package includes malpractice coverage, CME allowance, 401(k) plan and other standard benefits.
