Job Summary and Responsibilities Dignity Health Medical Group NV and St. Rose Internal Medicine Residency program seeks an experienced core faculty primary care physician for its Internal Medicine Residency Continuity Clinic. This role involves direct patient care, ambulatory teaching, and clinical leadership.
Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Direct Patient Care:
Serve as Clinic Director, overseeing administrative duties to ensure efficient operation of the Residency Continuity Clinic; maintain an independent primary care practice; leverage Dignity Health Wellness Center services to support holistic care; participate in initiatives to standardize equitable whole-person care.
Ambulatory Teaching & Resident Supervision:
Provide teaching and preceptorship to residents and students; supervise residents during clinical rotations; guide residents on quality improvement projects; contribute to curriculum development and scholarly activities.
Programmatic & Institutional Contribution:
Participate in Residency Program committees such as Program Evaluation and Clinical Competency; assist with residency applicant recruitment; serve as a role model, integrating CommonSpirit Health’s mission and values.
Job Requirements Education & Certification
MD or DO Degree from an accredited institution.
Active Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in internal medicine or family medicine.
Licensure
Must hold or be eligible for Nevada State medical licensure.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of post-residency clinical experience in primary care settings.
At least two (2) years of dedicated teaching experience in an ambulatory setting within graduate medical education.
Proven experience in an administrative or leadership role, preferably as Clinic Director.
Demonstrated interest and participation in quality improvement initiatives and/or limited data set research.
Desired Attributes
Strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and a positive learning environment.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to mentor and inspire residents and students.
Underrepresented persons in medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
