Base pay range $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr
General Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant or is a non-professional staff member who performs duties to obtain clinical information/data, clinical CLIA waived lab testing, and testing on medical equipment, necessary for the medical office visit. This assistance is under supervision of the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse, and the Physician/APN/PA.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
Performs chart prep for all providers.
Greets patients appropriately and escorts patients to exam rooms; performs, documents and reports vital signs and records height and weight accurately and in a timely manner.
Documents social/family/medical history, current complaint(s) with review of systems accurately.
Working knowledge of computer applications.
Answers phone calls, documents patient message, and forwards information to Physician, Nurse, NP, PA. Does not provide medical advice or recommend treatment.
Schedules referrals by phone to area physician offices and hospitals for tests and consults.
Assists with scheduling tests and procedures as ordered, as well as scheduling clinic appointments.
Maintains and restocks exam rooms with needed supplies.
Monitors supplies, except medications, for outdating and disposes as needed.
Orders supplies.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.
Follows Infection Control fundamentals r/t: Standard Precautions, good hand washing, disposal of bio hazardous materials, aseptic technique, disinfection of instruments/equipment, and preparations for autoclaving.
Adheres to policies and procedures, federal/state/local requirements and regulatory bodies.
Ability to handle a busy, fast-paced clinic that can be stressful at times.
Maintains excellent customer service with patients and staff at all times. Is aware and accountable of one’s actions.
Demonstrates self-directed learning and participation of continuing education to meet own development needs.
Demonstrates knowledge of patient safety, patient rights, and patient care.
Demonstrates effective communication skills and uses chain of command appropriately.
Able to cross-train within clinic and balance workloads efficiently and effectively.
Any other duties as assigned.
