Role Overview
The Senior Systems Analyst will act as a technical escalation point and provide hands‑on leadership while supporting enterprise systems. This role also serves as a Network Architect, leading the design and implementation of secure, scalable hybrid cloud network architectures supporting HHSC’s cloud transformation initiatives.
All work products are considered works made for hire and are the property of HHSC. Background checks may be required as per Texas law.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement hybrid and multi‑cloud network connectivity between on‑prem data centers and AWS
Design secure, resilient, and high‑performance network architectures
Lead high availability and disaster recovery strategies
Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams
Establish network governance standards and best practices
Align routing, segmentation, and security policies with enterprise architecture
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
Minimum Required Skills (8+ Years Each)
Network architecture across AWS and on‑prem environments
Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF
Hybrid connectivity: VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway
Network security, encryption, identity, and compliance
High availability, load balancing, and failover strategies
Preferred Skills
Zero Trust architecture
SD-WAN, network observability (NetFlow, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
Certifications
AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, CCNP/CCIE, Azure Network Engineer
