Base pay range $50,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, self-motivated professional with at least two years of experience in a skilled nursing facility and strong communication and organizational skills.
Admissions Director Responsibilities
Obtain referral information from telephone and walk-in inquiries, including complete clinical and financial information required for admission committee approval
Collaborate with the business office to ensure financial verification is accurate and complete prior to admission
Secure family commitment to tour the facility on at least 80% of viable referrals and conduct facility tours to support admission decisions
Manage the admissions process, including explaining admission policies and completing all required documentation to ensure a smooth transition
Monitor and communicate pending referrals, admissions, and follow-up needs to facility personnel
Notify the Marketing Director of any referral source issues encountered during the referral process
Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources
Admissions Director Qualifications
Two to three years of experience with the admissions process in a skilled nursing, subacute, rehabilitation, or other healthcare setting
Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail, documentation, and follow-up
Professional telephone skills with the ability to manage referral calls efficiently and effectively
Computer experience using a marketing information system
Knowledge of the managed care industry preferred
Customer Service Expectations
Maintain a professional image through appropriate dress, behavior, and communication
Adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns
Ensure all patient and resident rights are protected
