Roessel Joy has partnered with a private investment firm in Boston, MA who is seeking to bring on a
Controller
to join their team. It is a newly created position to oversee a new group of portfolio companies. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with strong M&A experience and a background implementing project-based accounting procedures.
Responsibilities of the role
Led financial M&A due diligence for ~5 acquisitions a year
Implement project accounting and finance procedures for small, acquired companies
Consolidate financials for multiple entities
Oversee AP/AR, handling any review or escalations
Own all accounting and finance processes for multiple small companies ($2M-$5M each)
Qualifications of the role
Proven track record of post-acquisition integration for 10+ past acquisitions
Process and ERP implementation experience
Consolidations and multi-entity experience
Project accounting experience, preference for someone who has implemented WIP and % completion processes
