Investment Analyst
Base Pay Range
$85,500.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Overview
AARP is the nation's largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering people 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. With a nationwide presence and more than 100 million members, AARP strengthens communities and advocates for health, financial security, and personal fulfillment. The Treasury department manages cash and investments, maintaining sufficient liquidity, maximizing earnings, and efficiently processing daily transactions. The Investment Analyst assists with managing a diversified portfolio across public equity, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity, real assets, and private credit. The analyst compiles data, prepares reports, and conducts due diligence on existing and prospective funds. Responsibilities
Research, analyze, and evaluate investment opportunities in various asset classes leading to preparation of investment recommendations. Assist in due diligence by coordinating manager meetings, preparing relevant reports in advance of investment manager meetings, attending annual meetings or onsite meetings, and documenting meeting notes. Conduct quantitative performance/risk analysis on portfolio and investments. Conduct research on trending topics by gathering and summarizing data, writing whitepapers. Prepare investment materials for Investment Committee members, Board members, and internal/external stakeholders. Act as a liaison between the investment team and external consultants in order to prepare monthly and quarterly data feeds needed by our consultants. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Strong communication skills with all levels of management and stakeholders. Preferred
