Job Summary And Qualifications As the Director Physician Advisors, you are responsible for directing all physician related activities within the Physician Advisory Network, with additional responsibility in the growth of physician leader alignment strategies. The primary purpose of this position will be working directly with clinical experts, medical directors, thought leaders, and physician executives to advance HealthTrust’s clinical agenda through clinical assessments and effective engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Integrating and coordinating physician advisors to identify/assess initiatives to improve utilization of physician preference items.
Understanding and interpreting clinical initiatives to support physician requests.
Engaging and managing physician leaders on the importance and responsibilities of the Physician Advisor Program monthly.
Lead activities around meeting/call schedules, preparation of materials, clinical subject matter expert coordination, billing and engagement tracking and project management/logistics.
Grow and expand opportunities for physician and clinician executive influence, including but not limited to a quarterly CMO Forum, service line sub‑committees, and new technology think tank group. Critical qualifications include relationship management, executive presence, and program build and navigation.
What you will do in this role
Coordinate systems/processes for physicians to be involved in clinical resource utilization/selection.
Manage communication, survey development, physician engagement, billing, tracking, communication and project management of physician advisor initiatives.
Assist colleagues with coordination of network insights including developing product development, meeting coordination, education, and onsite engagements.
Support the flow of information and education to HealthTrust Members and their physicians to better understand economic considerations in healthcare purchasing and supply chain.
Coordinate education and consultative support to the IDN and facility level.
Builds and maintains strong, effective working relationships across the Physician Services team.
Demonstrate the ability to manage a project plan for major projects and manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Assist in strategizing, assessing, coordinating and managing physician engagement and experience from concept visualization to completion around clinical service offerings and member engagements: oversight of project status, program deadlines, team member accountability, identifying any areas of concern or problems with associated solutions to other business unit partners/internal customers as needed.
Builds and maintains strong, effective working relationships across the organization to unify physician advisor experience.
Informs key colleagues on assessment, design, deployment and measurement of the physician board.
Ideal candidate will have knowledge of industry, medical specialties, provider landscape, and physician engagement best practices.
Must be able to work professionally with organization’s sourcing team, marketing, finance and other departments that interface with the physician advisor initiatives. Works closely with marketing and sales teams to identify the most effective and impactful communication strategy for physician recruitment.
What you will need for this role
5-7 years’ experience working with physicians in an office or clinical setting.
Experience working within health system at enterprise level.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage clinical education events from concept visualization to completion.
Experience in project management and finance/billing.
General knowledge of the medical device market.
Current working knowledge of GPO, IDN, and facility operations preferred.
Clinical experience at hospital/physician practice preferred.
Management experience preferred.
Committee development/leadership experience preferred.
Ability to travel – 20%.
