Eliyan is moving fast — scaling electrical and optical connectivity technologies that will define the next generation of AI hardware. We’re looking for a Sr/Principal Analog Designer with serious high-speed chops to help build the industry's most advanced optical front-ends. The ideal candidate will vibe with fast decisions, big technical swings, and shipping silicon that pushes 100–200+ Gbps per lane. The focus of this role will be laser drivers, TIAs, and highspeed analog front-end circuits in cutting‑edge FinFET nodes. You will work with a cross‑functional team of experts that operate from first principles, innovate and push the envelope to create high‑volume and high‑performance manufacturable products. We offer a fun work environment with excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities
High‑Speed Analog Design
Design and implement laser drivers, TIAs, limiting amps, EQ blocks, biasing circuits, and other analog front‑end components for 50G → 200G data rates.
Build circuits that hit ambitious bandwidth, noise, jitter, and power targets under real system constraints.
Advanced Silicon Development
Execute transistor‑level design in 12nm‑and‑below CMOS/FinFET technologies.
Run comprehensive simulation flows: transient, AC, noise, corner/PVT, BER, and post‑layout verification.
Collaborate closely with layout to optimize parasitics, floorplan efficiently, and maintain signal integrity.
Optical/Electrical Co‑Design
Work with internal teams and laser/PD vendors to align on electro‑optical requirements.
Understand laser dynamics (preferably VCSEL behavior), modulation characteristics, thermal effects, parasitics, and reliability constraints.
Shape electrical–optical tradeoffs to achieve robust high‑speed performance in real environments.
Silicon Bring‑Up & Validation
Lead lab characterization, debug, and performance verification for high‑speed optical paths.
Analyze data from scopes, BERTs, and optical test setups to guide iteration and improve link behavior.
Support product integration and help drive the design into production.
Technical Leadership in a Startup Environment
Mentor junior designers and raise the analog design bar across the team.
Work cross‑functionally with mixed‑signal, digital, packaging, FW, and system teams.
Influence product direction through data‑driven insights and grounded technical judgment.
Qualifications
10–15+ years in high‑speed analog/mixed‑signal IC design.
Strong background designing laser drivers & TIAs for 50–200 Gbps+ optical links.
VCSEL driver/TIA experience strongly preferred, but experience with other laser types is welcome.
Deep understanding of broadband analog techniques, low‑noise design, and high‑speed signaling.
Proven silicon track record from concept → tapeout → bring‑up → production.
Experience with optical link budgets, fibers, packaging effects, and thermal impacts.
Ability to move fast, make clear decisions, and thrive in a high‑growth startup environment.
Knowledge of common interfaces: I2C, JTAG, USB, GPIO
Experience with microcontroller and FPGA integration
Proficiency with PCB design software (Allegro PCB or equivalent)
Skills in firmware, embedded, and scripting is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
