We are seeking a dedicated, experienced professional to join our team and help us continue to provide exceptional logistics solutions. This position is Full-Time and requires the staff to work onsite, as it is not a remote job.

Job Summary

The role focuses on the coordination and facilitation of import/export operations, ensuring effective customer service, and handling client interactions with professionalism. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our logistics operations, directly impacting our success and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of import and export shipments.
  • Handle booking requests and communicate with clients and carriers to ensure smooth operation.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by resolving issues and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Participate in problem-solving for any operational delays or issues that arise.
  • Proactively manage freight forwarding by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in the supply chain and suggest innovative solutions.
  • Prepare and analyze freight costs, understanding and negotiating the best possible rates.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and reports regarding shipping operations.
  • Engage in regular communication with international and domestic partners.
  • Understand and utilize industry specific software for daily tasks and communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in freight forwarding or as part of an NVOCC company.
  • Deep knowledge of international logistics, including ocean carrier pricing, shipping protocols, and terminologies.
  • Strong proficiency with computer systems, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Prior technical training in freight forwarding, customs regulations, or related fields is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish, capable of delivering clear and concise messages both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, capable of making decisions under pressure and motivating the team for peak performance.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must demonstrate impeccable work ethics including responsibility, confidentiality, honesty, and loyalty.
