My client is seeking an experienced Estate, Wills, Trusts & Probate Attorney to join a well-established small firm (two attorneys, three support staff). This role has an opportunity to grow into a partner position and work directly with a loyal and expanding client base.
The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment, understands the nuances of family-owned businesses, and is committed to building strong relationships with clients while delivering excellent legal work. While this is an on-site position, we understand that life happens — flexibility will be provided when needed.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide comprehensive counsel on estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate matters. * Handle probate court cases, including filings, hearings, and administration. * Draft and review key legal documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. * Manage and grow a book of business — bringing existing clients or having the ability to build one quickly is essential. * Work with clients on sensitive family matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion. * Contribute to the growth of the firm, networking, and representing the firm in the community. * Maintain an organized and proactive approach to billing and client communication.
Must-Have Qualifications
* Currently licensed to practice law in Ohio. * Active practice experience in Estates, Wills, Trusts, and Probate law. * Strong probate court experience. * Drafting and executing wills and powers of attorney. * Existing book of work or the demonstrated ability to build one quickly. * Comfortable being in the office a majority of the time (with flexibility for personal obligations).
*Nice-to-Have Qualifications*
* Licensed to practice law in Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, or South Carolina. * Medicaid planning experience. * Certification in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law or Elder Law. * Guardianship case experience. * Additional practice areas (business or real estate law).
