Overview
Syntax Talent Solutions is partnering with a well established law firm in search of an Estate Planning Attorney to join our team in greater Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, and tax law. The attorney will be responsible for advising clients on estate planning strategies, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court when necessary.
Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Consult with clients to understand their estate planning needs and goals.
Draft, review, and finalize wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
Provide legal advice on tax implications and strategies for estate planning.
Represent clients in probate court proceedings and estate administration.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations.
Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
Proven experience in estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate law.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple client cases simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of tax law as it relates to estate planning.
Experience with elder law and Medicaid planning.
Familiarity with software used for estate planning and document management.
