University Optometry, a multi‑location practice located in Palo Alto, California, is expanding its team by adding a full‑time optometrist to support two locations. The practice specializes in managing primary eye care, specialty contact lens fittings, geriatric care, and ocular disease management.
What You’ll Do As a full‑time floating optometrist, you will focus on providing comprehensive ocular health services while educating patients to empower them to make informed decisions about their eye care. Using state‑of‑the‑art technology—including Optos and OCT—you will deliver outstanding patient care across two locations. Each day will consist of 8 hours of patient‑facing care with 22 available slots, at least 16 of which will be dedicated to exams. The role offers a generous compensation package that includes a production bonus, paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, continuing education allowance, and malpractice insurance.

Job Specifications Typically Included Skills or Abilities:
Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certification of licensure
1‑3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of optometric technology and practices; new graduates encouraged to apply
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
Strong business aptitude, self‑discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in performing job duties
Working Conditions The working environment is generally favorable, with adequate lighting and temperature. No hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
