The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the assigned branch, including sales, installation, service, customer retention, and collections escalations. This role provides full operational and financial leadership for the branch, overseeing profitability, cost control, and performance outcomes while aligning departmental goals with company objectives on an annual basis.
Essential Functions
Collaborates with staff and department heads to establish and achieve reasonable sales and operational goals
Partners with the Chief Operating Officer to set branch budgets and performance standards, including financial, operational, and compliance requirements aligned with internal, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations
Leads regular staff meetings to ensure goals, expectations, and performance objectives are clearly communicated; provides direction, coaching, and leadership to enable staff success
Identifies training needs and development opportunities; collaborates with the Corporate Engagement and Development Specialist to develop and implement plans to address those needs
Maintains and strengthens relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating exceptional customer service and serving as a role model for branch staff
Represents the organization through participation in community activities to promote the company and build goodwill
Collaborates with other managers and marketing team members on advertising, marketing initiatives, and growth strategies
Develops and/or implements programs designed to improve customer retention and reduce cancellations
Assists with acquisition identification, due diligence, and operational reviews as needed
Participates in the development of annual branch goals and budgets and is accountable for execution against those plans
Oversees the quality of installations and customer cut-ins, including the development and enforcement of department policies and procedures to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
