Job Description Overview Tully Rinckey PLLC, a nationally recognized full‑service law firm, is growing its Rochester, New York office. Starting January 1, 2025, the base compensation for all first‑year Attorneys has increased to $110,000 per year, and higher starting base compensation is offered to experienced attorneys. The firm offers no‑cost basic health insurance, free dental and vision coverage, a 6% matching contribution for 401(k) plans, and over six weeks of paid time off after eighteen months of full‑time employment. Partnership opportunities are available for experienced practitioners.

Responsibilities

Provide quality legal advice and represent clients in labor and employment disputes.

Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other substantive filings.

Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare for litigation and arbitration.

Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, conferences, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings.

Develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes.

Stay updated with changes in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. State jurisdiction (preferably New York) in good standing.

Interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment‑related claims against the federal government.

Understanding of state employment statutes, codes, and regulations.

Litigation, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.

Candidates must be admitted to practice law with their license in good standing.

Compensation

Associate Level – $120,000.00 – $140,000.00

Partner Level – $140,000.00 – $160,000.00
