Responsibilities
Wired and wireless network performance monitoring, network optimization, testing.
IT project management, implementation of network security controls.
Advanced troubleshooting and analysis of all network infrastructure elements.
Team management and project leadership.
Qualifications
Experience working with network infrastructure, preferably Extreme Networks products and solutions.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies: LAN, WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, network security.
Extreme Networks Certification highly recommended.
Experience managing network‑related projects: planning, implementation, documentation, upgrades, migrations, infrastructure expansions.
Proficiency with manufacturers/applications: VMware NSX (install/configure/manage V6.2); Ruckus Layer‑2 Switches/Wireless Controller/AP; Palo Alto Networks firewall (PA‑7050/3060/3260/5450, WildFire/URL filtering); Brocade MPLS; Cisco switches/routers; Aruba Networks; Ciena 100G OME; Extreme Networks Layer‑2/3 switches; SolarWinds, InMon Sentinel, Uptrends.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks (move files, bend, stand).
Education/Certifications: BA/BS degree (min 5 yrs experience) or AA/AS degree (7 yrs exp) or 9 yrs experience substituting degree. IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) and applicable CE/OS Certification.
