PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinating petrophysical data collection; running fit‑for‑purpose petrophysical models; and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on exploration, development, and production program execution and reservoir characterization. Planning and executing formation evaluation programs and procedures for coring, wireline logging, data quality control, computer processing, and data management. Integrating and calibrating core and wireline log data to provide accurate mineralogic determination, saturation models, porosity models, volumetric determination, and estimates of mechanical rock properties for horizontal well targeting. Prior petrophysical experience in unconventional assets is required, and experience within Rockies basins is desirable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years of experience performing petrophysical analysis on unconventional resource plays.
Desired skillsets include formation evaluation planning; drilling well surveillance, including well disposition; and completion recommendations.
Good communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly in multidisciplinary teams.
Capability to mentor other geoscientists and team members in petrophysical methods and best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in geology, physics, petroleum engineering, or geological engineering.
Proficiency in use of petrophysical software and modelling.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
Salary: Min $153,000.00 / Max $245,000.00.
