In a hybrid environment with true ownership and collaborative culture, you’ll handle Chapter 11/7/13 landlord representations, lift-stay motions, and creditor strategies, expand into Supreme Court/eviction proceedings, and accelerate to partnership.

Own bankruptcy files for premier property owners, coordinate with eviction/administrative teams, and shape outcomes in industry-defining matters.
Key Duties:
Represent landlords/creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases, including lift‑stay motions, proof‑of‑claim filings, and plan objections.
Draft pleadings, motions, and adversary complaints in Bankruptcy Court (SDNY/EDNY).
Negotiate cash collateral, DIP financing, and assumption/rejection of leases.
Collaborate on multi‑forum strategies linking bankruptcy with Supreme Court holdover proceedings.
Support partners in client counseling and strategic resolution decisions.
Represent clients in federal/state courtrooms, including arguing motions, evidentiary hearings, and trials when cases proceed to verdict.
Ideal Candidate:
3+ years bankruptcy experience (creditor/landlord‑side strongly preferred).
Deep knowledge of NY real estate insolvency issues; NY bar required.
Excellent drafting, analytical, and courtroom skills.
Collaborative mindset eager for autonomy, real estate integration, and partnership trajectory.
