LABORATORY MANAGER, School of Medicine, Microbiology
The position is a Laboratory Group Manager and Coordinator for the Connor and Davey laboratories at Boston University Medical Campus. The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative expertise, supervise and train laboratory personnel, and manage the collection, curation, storage, and distribution of biological samples.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead wet‑lab experiments and oversee laboratory workflows.
Provide training and guidance to 8‑12 lab employees.
Maintain laboratory safety compliance and manage shared lab resources.
Communicate weekly progress and recommend exceptions to policy and procedure.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 3‑5 years of related experience in cellular/molecular sample preparation and experimental techniques.
Experience supervising, mentoring, and working in a laboratory team setting.
Strong time management and independent judgment skills.
Location: BOSTON, MA, United States.
Salary grade: Grade 46. Expected hiring range: $55,300.00‑$69,700.00.
Position type: Full‑Time/Regular.
