Job Summary
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Growth & Middle Market Technology Banking team to achieve their client growth and profitability goals by leveraging the daily activities outlined below.
Responsibilities
Prepare materials for client and prospect meetings, including external pitchbooks, bespoke slides (debt capacity and cost analysis, terms, comps), public information books and term sheets. Includes ensuring all pitch decks and other sales materials are kept up to date with current, relevant content.
Support senior leadership on strategic projects and broader team initiatives.
Prepare and present ad hoc decks for management as requested.
Originate and execute briefing memos (clients/prospects) and credit preview memos to equip RMs with what they need to move transactions and opportunities forward.
Build market intelligence by synthesizing industry research, market trends and competitive dynamics into sector insights (e.g. debt comps, M&A comps, capital raises, sector reports, bespoke slides for RMs).
Prospecting: Utilize our internal and external resources to find prospects and create ad-hoc reports to find opportunities.
Support VC/PE coverage efforts through portfolio analysis/screening and pitch materials preparation.
Marketing: create LinkedIn posts, master slides, one-pagers, etc.
Assist with client onboarding – KYC, profitability/returns approvals, etc.
Support operational, account planning, and budgeting processes for the broader team.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, you will be also tasked with keeping the following reports active:
National Sales Report
Monthly Calling Activity Report
Build and manage the Master sales deck and related materials to include ad-hoc client slides such as (competitive liquidity analysis, capital alternatives & recommendations, and syndication overview)
Salesforce timeliness and accuracy
Finally, you will be responsible for:
Preparing unsolicited term sheets for prospective clients
Attending events (as time allows)
Attending in-person and virtual client calls
Continuing to develop your professional network locally and nationally
The role also includes allocating a portion of your time to support the Credit Solutions team with portfolio reviews, underwriting memos/analysis, and financial spreading/modelling.
Skills & Experience
Credit underwriting or portfolio management experience (ideal but not required)
At least one year of commercial/corporate banking experience
Credit training program with a money center bank/regional bank
Accounting and finance experience
Interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
Organization and time management skills with strong attention to detail
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Experience with financial modeling and spreadsheets
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related major, including Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Compensation & Benefits The typical base pay range for this role is between $100k - $110k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
