SVP & Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Role Summary The CIO is the executive owner of Blue Yonder’s internal digital ecosystem—enterprise architecture, business systems, data platforms, security-aligned operations, and global IT service delivery. This leader transforms traditional IT into an AI-first, automation-driven product organization that boosts productivity, reduces cost-to-serve, and powers better decision-making across the company.
The CIO partners with the CTO, CDO, CISO, CFO, and Chief Transformation Officer to ensure Blue Yonder’s internal operations match the sophistication and reliability of its market-leading supply chain platform.
Core Responsibilities 1. Enterprise Architecture & Platform Ownership
Own the company’s end-to-end internal enterprise architecture, including ERP (Workday), CRM, HRIS, Finance, LegalTech, Integration, and Data Platforms.
Define and enforce reference architectures, integration strategy, and cloud modernization.
Ensure IPO-grade controls for financial systems, identity-integrated platforms, and audit traceability.
2. AI-First Operating Model
Shift IT from ticket-based support to AI-orchestrated digital operations.
Deploy Copilots, virtual agents, knowledge graphs, and automation engines across all functions.
Build and lead Lean AI Delivery Pods embedded in Finance, HR, Legal, RevOps, and IT Ops.
Scale conversational AI and self-service tools to eliminate manual work.
3. IT Service Transformation
Lead global delivery across end-user computing, cloud & infrastructure, corporate applications, data platforms, and automation.
Transition IT into a product & platform engineering model with autonomous remediation.
Drive measurable improvements in cost-to-serve, MTTR, uptime, and FTE productivity.
4. Enterprise Data & Decision Enablement (with CDO)
Support internal data platforms, analytics, AI training / inference environments, and knowledge graphs.
Enable real-time visibility, forecasting, and autonomous decision support across functions.
5. Financial Discipline & Value Creation
Ensure clear IT financial transparency, capitalization discipline, and unit economics.
Lead vendor consolidation and AI-driven capacity planning.
Deliver direct EBITDA and margin improvements through automation and platform leverage.
Success Measures
40–70% reduction in manual internal workload via AI and automation
99.95%+ uptime for mission-critical systems
IPO-grade audit readiness
2–3x IT productivity per dollar spent
80%+ workforce adoption of AI / Copilot tools
EBITDA uplift from automation and operational leverage
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
15+ years in IT leadership within SaaS or tech-driven organizations
Proven success scaling enterprise systems and building modern architecture
Demonstrated experience implementing AI / ML, automation, and platform engineering models
Strong global leadership, communication, and vendor management skills
The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
