We are seeking a

Business Systems Analyst (Mid)

to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Leads collection, capture, and management of user needs from prioritization through concept development, and user story writing to support development and deployment.

Facilitates gathering of business-focused requirements to support a product team and product owner in defining the backlog and ensuring the user’s perspective is considered.

Focuses on requirements gathering for improved usability, user experience, and driving user adoption and engagement.

Identifies core business needs, documents them in concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories; documents business rules and constructs workflow diagrams as needed.

Provides consultation on Commercially Available Information, Data Management, and Information Sharing missions while considering the business implications of technology application to the current and future business environment.

Develops data standards, implements and curates a data standards/data model repository, works with system owners and other stakeholders to advance system integration and implement data standards, and drives implementation of standardized data models and schemas.

Develops and implements an enterprise-wide data catalog; collects mission user needs, writes user stories, identifies core data catalog needs; assesses and analyzes various data catalog tools against requirements; creates catalog guidance and foundational documents, defines datasets, and conducts outreach and training to users and data stewards/owners.

Identifies technical and procedural barriers to information sharing, proposes and implements solutions, and facilitates data exchange agreements.

Required Skills And Qualifications

TS/SCI security clearance.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of experience.

Demonstrates ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.

Demonstrates ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.

Possesses intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

Familiarity with data management and governance frameworks (DAMA, DMBoK) and a strong understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle. Experience working with data governance tools or catalogs strongly recommended.

Strong documentation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

Exposure to enterprise data sharing strategies or interagency agreements.

Experience supporting data mesh implementations.

Full-Time Employee Compensation

M9 Solutions’ pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Range $60,000 - $180,000 USD
