Our client is seeking a seasoned HR Director to lead people operations within a fast‑paced multi‑state organization. This leader will balance strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, supporting a high‑volume hourly workforce while partnering closely with senior leadership to drive consistency, compliance, and growth. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, operational credibility, and the ability to translate people strategy into practical, scalable solutions.
This role is fully onsite in Portland, Oregon.
HR Director Responsibilities
Lead and execute enterprise HR operations across multiple states and locations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational readiness.
Direct employee relations efforts, including investigations, coaching leaders, and mitigating risk in complex situations.
Oversee full‑cycle talent acquisition and onboarding for hourly, management, and corporate roles, including support for new location openings.
Own HR systems, policies, reporting, and analytics to deliver accurate insights and maintain strong governance.
HR Director Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
8–12 years of progressive HR leadership experience spanning recruiting, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and compliance.
Demonstrated experience supporting multi‑state, multi‑unit restaurant or hospitality environments with hourly workforces.
Strong working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now) and comfort with Excel‑based reporting.
Proven ability to thrive in fast‑moving, growth‑oriented organizations while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
