Job Summary Under direction of school assistant principal, to perform a variety of duties associated with supervision of students on campus; and to do related work as directed or required.

Responsibilities

supervise and patrol student parking lot by controlling speed of cars, loitering in cars, unauthorized cars on campus and proper parking of cars;

patrol areas such as auditorium, gym, locker room, rest rooms in an attempt to stop smoking and vandalism in these areas;

assist in supervising student activity areas and library during lunch period;

assist in general supervision of campus as directed by assistant principal;

assist in afternoon bus loading as needed.

Employment Standards

any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of twelfth grade and experience with students is desirable;

demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and students;

skill in motivating, encouraging and assisting students;

analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action;

establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work;

meet mental requirements for this position;

meet physical characteristics in compliance with American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
