Position Summary & Highlights
This position will work with a busy Family Medicine physician and will also collaborate with other MAs and providers.

CNA only work experience does not qualify for the MA position.
Our family medicine providers help patients address diagnosed health concerns early and manage existing conditions across all ages.
What You Will Do
Support the new physician at the clinic.
Administer immunizations, complete child well visits, and assist with minor procedures.
Perform phlebotomy, POC testing, UAs, ear lavages, and complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.
Have strong customer‑service skills, solid follow‑through, and critical‑thinking skills.
Work well in a team, communicate effectively, and provide excellent patient care.
Work Schedule
36 hours per week, 4–9‑hour days.
Monday‑Thursday or Tuesday‑Friday schedules.
Hours typically 7:45 am–5:15 pm.
Schedule may vary based on provider schedules and clinic needs.

Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcareer Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
New graduates: • MA certificate of completion from an accredited program • Completion of a 100‑hour MA externship or 6‑month MA experience in lieu of the externship hours.
Medical Assistants with experience: 1 year MA experience OR current MA certification OR obtain/renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network required at hire.
EMT and CNA certifications will not count toward an MA certification. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.
