Solar Energy Project Manager

Our client is seeking a project manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of solar energy projects from inception to completion. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure the successful implementation of solar installations. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of solar energy projects, including site assessments, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and subcontractors to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and financial targets throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to optimize project efficiency and minimize risks.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Coordinate with utility companies, regulatory agencies, and local authorities to obtain permits, approvals, and interconnection agreements for solar installations.
Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to senior management, stakeholders, and project teams, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting of project activities, expenses, and performance metrics.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project processes, streamline workflows, and enhance project delivery capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the solar energy industry, with a track record of successfully delivering solar projects on time and within budget.
Strong technical knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including design principles, installation techniques, and performance optimization strategies.
Excellent project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, building codes, and permitting processes related to solar energy projects.
Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams, build relationships, and resolve conflicts.
Proficiency in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Asana.
PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are a plus.
