Opportunity Details
Provides high‑quality, patient‑centered rheumatologic care to an underserved, inner‑city population in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Performs inpatient rheumatology consultations, co‑manages complex multisystem disease with primary and specialty teams, and ensures safe care transitions at admission, transfer, and discharge.
Delivers longitudinal outpatient care in general and subspecialty rheumatology clinics and participates in joint and multidisciplinary clinics as assigned.
Teaches and supervises fellows, residents, and medical students using bedside, case‑based, and didactic instruction, fostering a culture of active, evidence‑based learning with timely feedback.
Collaborates closely with primary care and specialty services to coordinate diagnostic work‑ups, treatment plans, and follow‑up through clear and respectful communication.
Participates in divisional projects, quality improvement initiatives, clinical pathways, and scholarly activities to improve systems of care and advance rheumatology practice.
Participates in weekend and holiday inpatient coverage per the Division schedule.
