Location: Aurora, OH (44202)

Pay Range: $75k - 90k/year (The pay range may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Duration : Direct Hire

Job Description:

Primary Duties:

  • Lead and supervise the 1st shift team in metal fabrication to meet daily production targets.
  • Manage staffing, training, and development of team members; foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and production procedures.
  • Monitor workflow, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and coordinate with maintenance to address equipment issues.
  • Review production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage attendance, and participate in hiring and disciplinary processes in partnership with HR.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and OSHA standards.
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Provide timely and accurate production reports to leadership to support operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and Sales to ensure seamless operations.

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing supervision.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, 2D drawings, and 3D models.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality assurance practices.
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
  • Decisive problem-solver with the ability to quickly assess situations and implement solutions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet production and shipping deadlines.
  • Proficient in using production tracking systems and reporting tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
  • OR 5+ years in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling tools.
