A Production Supervisor (Metal Fabrication) job in Aurora, OH is available courtesy of Akkodis. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 1st Shift Supervisor to lead our Metal Fabrication operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met, and driving continuous improvement across the department.
Pay: $75,000/yr to $90,000/yr
Production Supervisor (Metal Fabrication) job responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the 1st shift team in metal fabrication to meet daily production targets.
- Manage staffing, training, and development of team members; foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and production procedures.
- Monitor workflow, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and coordinate with maintenance to address equipment issues.
- Review production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage attendance, and participate in hiring and disciplinary processes in partnership with HR.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing supervision.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, 2D drawings, and 3D models.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality assurance practices.
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
