Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $55,000 annually (plus bonus and mileage)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (100% onsite)
About the Role
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team in Irvine, CA. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting department with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general office tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable: Enter and update vendor invoices in Sage 50; prepare payment checks and reports; respond to vendor inquiries.
Accounts Receivable: Enter sales invoices; send invoices to customers; process cash receipts (check, wire transfer, cash).
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation
Collections: Send statements and follow up with customers via phone/email for unpaid invoices.
Payroll Support: Assist Accounting Manager with payroll processing, verifying overtime and PTO.
Filing & Office Support: Organize vendor files; lift boxes up to 10 lbs; assist with seminars or special events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
3–5 years of accounting experience
Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Experience with Sage 50 preferred (not required)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work 100% onsite
