Phlebotomist - Sun City
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in a dynamic doctor's office setting. The role involves drawing patients' blood, processing specimens, and preparing them for analytical testing. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate data entry into our computer systems and distributing specimens to the correct analytical areas. This role requires adherence to the Code of Conduct and will include specified analytical testing as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Collect and receive biological specimens.
- Enter specimen data accurately into the computer system.
- Prepare samples for analytical testing.
- Distribute specimens to appropriate analytical areas.
- Perform specified analytical testing.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct guidelines.
Essential Skills
- 1 or more years of prior phlebotomy experience required (excluding donor, plasma, and MA phlebotomy).
- Proficiency in blood draw, specimen collection, and specimen processing.
- Comfortable working independently.
- GED or High School Diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in laboratory settings.
- Patient care skills.
- Phlebotomy certification is advantageous.
Work Environment
This position is located in Sun City, AZ. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM. The role primarily involves working with patients in a physician's office, collaborating closely with medical assistants. The work environment offers opportunities for career advancement, including a career ladder to become a Phlebotomy Technician 2 with a pay increase. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sun City, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
