Job Summary:
The HR Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Human
Resources department, specializing in the administration of employee benefits, leaves (FMLA,
ADA, etc.), and related compliance, while also assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and
benefit changes to ensure a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Leave Management: Administer leave policies (FMLA, state leaves, ADA), process
requests, manage certifications, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Review and respond with the appropriate designation status for all FMLA, WC and ADA
request in coordination our third party provider JWF and coordinate with the Chief
Human Resources Officer.
HR Operations: Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files;
support onboarding/offboarding, HR reporting, and HRIS maintenance.
Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, screening resumes, scheduling
interviews, and background checks if needed.
Compliance & Policy: Ensure adherence to labor laws (EEOC, FMLA, etc.) and
company policies; assist with policy updates and audits.
Employee Support: Respond to general HR inquiries; assist with payroll, performance
management, and training coordination.
Other duties as requested
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years to 5 years experience in HR benefits/FMLA compliance role
Proven experience in HR administration, benefits, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of benefits plans and leave laws (FMLA, ADA).
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
