Overview The Department of Radiology at Stanford School of Medicine is searching for a Division Chief of Integrative Biomedical Imaging Informatics (IBIIS). The appointment will be in the University Tenure Line or Non‑Tenure Line (Research) at the Associate or Full Professor rank. The focus of the Division is pioneering, translating, teaching and disseminating Artificial Intelligence and other data science methods that integrate imaging, clinical, and -omics data to better understand the molecular mechanisms of diseases and to improve the accuracy and efficiency of clinical care. The Division Chief will oversee the research and teaching activities of the Division and will provide leadership, mentorship, and administrative direction.
Responsibilities
Lead the research and teaching activities of the Division.
Mentor junior faculty and support faculty development.
Provide leadership and administrative oversight to advance the Division’s mission.
Promote the integration of AI and data science into imaging, clinical, and -omics research.
Qualifications
PhD and/or MD and/or equivalent in computer science, engineering, physics, biomedical informatics, data science, imaging science, or a related field.
Demonstrated scholarly achievement with a strong record of NIH, industrial, and/or other funding.
Excellent teaching experience and commitment to training the next generation of researchers.
Exceptional leadership and administrative skills, with a track record of successful program direction.
Salary
Associate Professor: $218,000 – $242,000
Professor: $266,000 – $366,000
