Oracle Health/Cerner Integration Architect (Contract to Hire)
Contract to Hire: 6 Month Duration
Hybrid: 80% Remote 20% Onsite Boston, MA
Start Date: Mid‑Late January, Upon Successful Onboarding
Lead end‑to‑end integration architecture, design governance, and delivery execution for Oracle Health Cerner Millennium and Oracle Health revenue cycle (RevElate) hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Ensure a stable, secure, and scalable interoperability layer across clinical, revenue, ancillary, device, identity, and external partner systems. Drive standards‑based exchange (HL7 v2, FHIR/SMART, APIs) and reliable operations from design through go‑live and steady state.
Key Responsibilities
Define integration strategy spanning Millennium, RevElate, and surrounding ecosystem.
Own integration reference architecture and establish design governance.
Lead design and oversight for HL7 v2, FHIR/SMART, REST/SOAP APIs, and event‑driven patterns.
Architect revenue cycle integrations supporting registration, charge capture, coding, billing/claims, clearinghouse, payer responses, payment posting, denials/AR workflows, reporting extracts.
Coordinate with OCI teams to meet networking, security, identity, and performance requirements.
Own integration test strategy and lead readiness for cutover and go‑live.
Establish monitoring, alerting, error queues, reconciliation, and SLA/SLO targets.
Act as primary integration advisor to client leaders and cross‑functional teams.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of healthcare integration experience, including large‑scale EHR programs.
3+ years hands‑on with Oracle Health/Cerner Millennium preferred.
Expertise in HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, OAuth2.
Experience with interface engines (Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Corepoint, Mirth).
Proven delivery leadership across requirements, design, build, testing, and go‑live.
Strong understanding of HIPAA and enterprise integration governance.
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle Health‑specific build skills (Discern Explorer/CCL).
Revenue cycle domain depth (patient accounting, claims, payer integration).
OCI familiarity (networking, certificates/TLS, secure connectivity).
