The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. The Department of Medicine at UCI School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for a nationally recognized academic physician to serve as the Chief of the UCI Division of Infectious Diseases. The Division comprises 16 faculty members across clinical care, research, and education, offering comprehensive clinical care and research in general infectious diseases, infections in immunocompromised hosts (including post‑transplant), and HIV medicine. With a research portfolio of nearly $10 million, the Division focuses on HIV/AIDS, vector‑borne diseases, host‑pathogen interactions, parasitology, bacterial pathogens, and healthcare‑associated infection burden. The role will advance research distinction, educational innovation, clinical excellence and solidify the Division’s regional and national stature. The Chief reports to the Chair of the Department of Medicine, collaborates with clinical, academic, and administrative leaders, mentors faculty, trainees, and students, and upholds UCI Health’s mission to Discover, Teach, Heal. Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent, have appropriate academic credentials for a tenured appointment, be board‑eligible in Infectious Disease and eligible for licensure in California.
