Location Trapp Optical – Greenwich, CT
Employment Type Part-Time (3 Days/Week) | Per Diem or 1099 Independent Contractor Considered
Compensation $89,400 – $99,600 annually based on experience
Position Highlights
Open to new graduates or experienced Optometrists seeking better work‑life balance.
Part‑time schedule: 3 days per week with flexible scheduling options.
Per Diem or 1099 Independent Contractor status also considered.
Low‑volume, relationship‑driven setting with no rushed exams.
Your Role As An Optometrist
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for vision correction, preventative care, and ocular disease detection.
Diagnose and manage chronic eye conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Perform contact lens fittings (including specialty and toric lenses), refractive assessments, and binocular vision evaluations.
Collaborate with expert optical staff to provide patients with customized prescription glasses and contact lenses.
Use state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic technology to ensure accurate, effective eye health evaluations.
Build lasting relationships with patients, many of whom have trusted us for decades.
What We’re Looking For
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
Must hold or be willing to obtain a Connecticut Optometry License.
Therapeutic licensure required to diagnose and manage ocular disease.
Open to new graduates or experienced ODs passionate about private practice optometry.
Excellent chairside manner, strong diagnostic skills, and a warm, engaging communication style.
Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a small, loyal team.
