Digital Transaction Monitoring Lead Analyst
Assistant Vice President; State Street Financial Crimes Compliance; Boston, MA (hybrid 4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
Responsibilities
Develop, test, implement, and operate suspicious activity monitoring models and investigative tools for public blockchains and digital assets.
Document model development, implementation plans, and ongoing monitoring, fulfilling model‑owner responsibilities.
Create user stories and requirements to deploy and improve monitoring of digital transactions and entities.
Drive efficiency in operational processes through investigative tool design.
Collaborate with policy, risk assessment, KYC, and other AML teams, ensuring appropriate data sourcing and management for models and applications.
Maintain confidence in model accuracy and effectiveness through continuous challenge, testing, and reporting to stakeholders.
Qualifications
3+ years of suspicious activity monitoring experience with digital assets, including data modeling or analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Finance, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
Experience with blockchain analytics solutions and vendors.
Prior model‑owner experience is preferred.
Proficiency with Agile software development, Databricks, and related database tools.
Knowledge of KYC, sanctions screening, and risk assessments is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, research, time‑management, and communication skills.
Ability to own initiatives, negotiate, influence, and build consensus in a demanding international environment.
Salary Range $110,000 – $177,500 annual (primary location); ranges may vary for other locations.
