Production Supervisor Job at MI-TECH METALS in Indianapolis

Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals is hiring an experienced production supervisor to join our 2nd

shift operations. The incumbent will be expected to assist with planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. In addition, they will be responsible for coaching, counseling and disciplining employees. The ideal candidate will possess previous manufacturing and a machining background.

Responsibilities and Job Duties (Include are but no limited to):

• Provide leadership and supervision to the Mill Products departments
• Interface with team members on a daily basis and act as the first line of command in resolving problems and maintaining efficient, orderly workflow
• Ensuring on-time delivery, management of the flow of materials/parts and control of inventory
• Coordinate workloads and department schedules
• Inspect parts throughout the shift to verify conformance to Company specifications
• Oversees and or conducts training of new and existing employees
• Adherence to product and customer specifications
• Experience in 5S

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous machining background
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Two years of Supervisory experience preferred or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree in a technical field of studies or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of Powdered Metals manufacturing
