Summary
Directs the departments activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization as it relates to the Medical Staff privileging and credentialing activities.
Responsibilities
Plans and monitors Medical Affairs staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and disciplinary actions.Oversees staff operations, business planning and budget development. Updates policies and procedures as needed. Oversees adherence to deadlines.Develops and implements departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, accreditation standards, medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations as well as departmental policies and procedures.Provides Administrative support to hospital administration and other departments as it relates to Medical Affairs and Credentialing.
