Job Description Job Description Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer ready to take full ownership of complex manufacturing processes and equipment? What You'll Do Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer III, where you will be the process owner for assigned areas, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and produce high-quality products. This is a chance to leverage your 5 years of experience to lead major projects, mentor the next generation of engineers, and drive significant cost savings through Lean and continuous improvement initiatives. We are seeking a proactive, hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with the technical execution required to achieve manufacturing excellence. Process Ownership & Expertise: Serve as the technical expert for assigned processes and equipment, ensuring they are safe, effective, efficient, and produce parts to requirements. Production Support & Problem Solving: Provide high-level engineering support to production. Lead and/or support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and complex problem resolution for products, processes, and equipment. Continuous Improvement & Lean Leadership: Research, design, and develop manufacturing process improvements (production flow, assembly methods, equipment) to boost efficiency, quality, and reduce waste. Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to reduce cycle times and improve flow. Strategic Project Management: Work on major or multiple medium-high complexity projects. Support and/or lead long-range planning for processes, equipment, and manufacturing capabilities. New Product Introduction (NPI): Verify new product designs for manufacturability, tooling, and documentation before release to production. Documentation & Standardization: Document and maintain processes, procedures, tools/equipment, and routing standards through engineering change orders (ECOs), ERP (SAP), and internal workflows. Capital & Tooling Investment: Research, recommend, purchase, and install new tooling and equipment into production as needed. What We're Looking For Required BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer, ideally in the assembly of electro-mechanical products. Experience practicing Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methods. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including familiarity with problem-solving tools (root cause analysis, statistics, FMEA, Pareto). Proven track record of managing multiple projects and troubleshooting complex problems. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical information and collaborate effectively across multiple functions. Strong attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to successfully perform within defined project frameworks. Bonus Points BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited school. Experience automating manual assembly processes. Experience with Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) and capability to design assembly fixtures. Experience with injection molding or two-part resins for shock, thermal, and electrical performance.
